Information Technology (CTE Career Cluster)

The Mission of Information Technology Education:

To build linkages to Information Technology occupations for entry level, technical, and professional careers related to the design, development, support and management of hardware, software, multimedia, communication, and systems integration services

                          

To Accomplish this Mission:

 

The complete Information Technology education program will support students:

  • Through high quality classroom and laboratory instruction

  • Development of premier leadership, personal growth, and career success

  • Enhanced opportunity to build career skills

We aspire for excellence as we recruit, prepare and encourage individuals to pursue life skills through Information Technology education.

We serve the community and inform them about Information Technology, the needs, opportunities and challenges, as well as provide life long career skills.

 

Information Technology programs will respond to community needs and Kansas' IT needs. It should prepare students to enter the workforce and to participate as leaders, innovators, and managers in a global economy.

Information Technology Pathway Design Sheets with Competencies and Resources

The pathway design sheets listed below include a list of the course options within each pathway and the competency profiles for each of those courses. These design sheets are good for the 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 school years unless otherwise noted.
