Current Events and Issues

The next regular State Board of Education meeting is Aug. 13 and 14 in Topeka.  Individuals who need the use of a sign language interpreter, or who require other special accommodations, should contact Peggy Hill at 785-296-3203 or plhill@ksde.org at least seven business days prior to a Kansas State Board of Education meeting.

 

In addition to their regular committee assignments, State Board members are active with a number of initiatives impacting student learning, such as social-emotional health, dyslexia and bullying.  They are also participating in community conversations centered on the early childhood system in Kansas.
