The next regular State Board of Education meeting is Feb. 9 and 10, 2021.
Every two years, the State Board reorganizes to elect new leadership and to consider committee assignments. At the January meeting, members elected Jim Porter as Chair and Janet Waugh as Vice Chair to serve in these leadership positions for 2021 to 2023. In addition, the following newly elected and re-elected members were sworn in: Melanie Haas, Dist. 2; Ann Mah, Dist. 4; Deena Horst, Dist. 6; Betty Arnold, Dist. 8; Jim McNiece, Dist. 10.
