Outside Visitation Team (OVT) and Chairs

The KESA Guidance Document now contains a summary of the KESA process along with the latest reports that will be available in the Authenticated Application.  Additionally, new resources are included to assist you in your accreditation journey. OVTs should review pages 27-32. 

Outside Visitation Team Members

Training is required of all OVT members, including those who wish to serve as a Chair. To be a Chair, you must first attend OVT Member training and then attend OVT Chair training (See the "OVT Chair" section below.).

List of Potential OVT Members  This list contains those trained and/or OVT Chairs who are willing to serve on a system OVT. There may be names missing on the list because of bad or undeliverable emails. KSDE is working through those. There is a longer list of names that includes those who did not want to be posted on the website. If  you are interested in that list, please email accreditation@ksde.org.

If, in your current position, you are not associated with a system/district, you will be required to complete the KSDE Security Training prior to approval as a user for the KESA Application. The link to the security training is: https://learning.ksde.org/login/index.php. New users will need to create an account.

The Year 5 System and OVT reports linked below were updated for the 2021/2022 school year. All systems in year 5 during the 2022/2023 school year will need to complete the existing forms linked below. Documentation will be done in the KESA Authenticated Application. Please, ignore red or green text in the forms. The red text is to help KSDE staff as they continue to review the forms, while the green text is used as notes for the programmers as they implement the forms into the Authenticated Application.

OVT Chairs will only need to provide feedback on the sections completed by the systems. If the system chooses to complete an optional section, then the OVT would be asked to provide feedback on those sections. However, OVT Chairs and Systems will have completed the requirements for systems in years 1-4 in 2022/2023 if they have completed the three required sections: Compliance, Needs Assessment Process and Goals, and Assurances.
