KIDS Project Website

This is the homepage for the Kansas Individual Data on Students system. Here you can access the KIDS system by using your KSDE username and password, find important documentation, register for training opportunities, and much more.

The KIDS Collection System has been updated for the 2010-2011 school year and is now available. Please remember to submit KIDS data based upon the 2010-2011 files specifications.

Support

KSDE offers a wide variety of help resources to support school and district users submitting data via KIDS.

The KIDS Help Desk, where users may seek help working directly with the KIDS software, is staffed during normal business hours. The telephone number is 785-296-7935.
The KIDS email account (kids@ksde.org) allows school and district personnel to submit questions and receive a personal response.
Weekly conference calls with the KIDS Team members allow school and district personnel to speak directly with the KIDS support team.

The KIDS Project website (www.ksde.org/kids) includes numerous help resources for KIDS users including frequently asked questions (FAQs), documentation, and collection schedules.
Free training for KIDS is offered in a wide variety of formats including: hands-on sessions, online demonstrations, and an advanced professional development certification program known as the Data Quality Certification (DQC) Program.
KSDE offers a voluntary certification program for student information system vendors to ensure compatibility between the local student information system and the KIDS system.
