BUSING ON THE LOOKOUT is a human trafficking training developed by Truckers Against Trafficking for school bus drivers.
It meets the legal requirement of Kansas law KSA 8-2,157 which requires all individuals applying for, or renewing a Kansas CDL (Commercial Drivers License) after July, 1, 2018, to have Human Trafficking training.
Individuals renewing a CDL (Commercial Drivers License) after July 1, 2018 must complete this training prior to renewing their CDL. A hard copy of the certificate must be presented to the CDL examiner when the individual renews their CDL.
Individuals applying for a CLP (Commercial Learners Permit). after July 1, 2018 must complete this training prior to receiving a CLP. A hard copy of the certificate must be presented to the CDL examiner when the individual takes and passes the written test.
BOTL Wallet Cards are available for Kansas School Bus Drivers. School Districts and School Bus Contractors can download and print wallet cards from the following link.

The following Course Roster Information & Course Attendee Information form shall only be used for Kansas School Bus drivers.
This form is only for the issuance of certificates when the Kansas CDL mandated human trafficking training, BUSING ON THE LOOKOUT, is completed as a group using the KSDE Training Portal (moodle) or other KSDE approved training process. The names on the certificates when issued, will be exactly as entered into the following roster form.
The use of this roster is for Group Trainings Only. Do Not use this roster for issuing single or individual certificates.
The class facilitiator shall enter the legal first and last name as shown on the attendee's CDL.
Do not use the same roster for multiple dates. Only one date per roster.
You may use and submit multiple rosters if your class exceeds 20 individuals. Please submit multiple rosters at the same time so we can issue the certificates all at once.
All Course Roster Information Fields are required.
Digital certificates will be emailed to the class facilitator. The KSDE School Bus Safety Unit will not issue hard copies of the certificates.
Facilitator must be verifiable by the Kansas State Department of Education School Bus Safety Unit through the school district/contractor.
Please make sure all legal names are spelled correctly and match the individual's CDL before submitting.
