Current Events and Issues

A summary of action and other business from the March State Board of Education meeting is provided.   Summary  Official minutes are posted online after the Board has approved them the following month.

 

Individual State Board members have been participating in several activities this month. Among these are the National Association of State Boards of Education legislative conference, attending local school board meetings and Coalition of Innovative School District meetings.

 

As in previous years, Kansas legislators are receiving a weekly informational postcard from the State Board during the legislative session. This year's series focuses on state level educational outcomes and accomplishments made toward the Kansans Can vision to lead the world in the success of each student.
