Kansas Exemplary Educators Network (KEEN)
The Kansas State Department of Education has developed a network comprised of individuals from the Kansas Teacher of the Year, Milken Family Foundation National Educator Awards Program, Presidential Awards for Excellence in Math and Science Teaching, Kansas Cable Telecommunications Horizon Awards Program, and Nationally Board Certified Teachers, called Kansas Exemplary Educators Network (KEEN).
The KEEN’s mission is to build and utilize a network of exemplary educators who are leaders in the improvement of schools, student performance, and the teaching/education profession.
Annually members of KEEN are invited to professional development opportunities, which address various pertinent education issues. KEEN members also serve on various advisory and selection committees for the Kansas State Department of Education.
This year’s conference theme is “Great Ideas” and will feature sessions focused on sharing innovative ideas from classrooms across the state – ideas for you to implement in your own classroom. Additionally, we will announce the state finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
This is your opportunity to start collecting new ideas for the upcoming school year, feed your creative side and recharge your batteries in the company of other exemplary educators.
