WICHITA – Shannon Ralph, a high school biology teacher at Dodge City High School (Dodge City USD 443), was named the 2015 Kansas Teacher of the Year during ceremonies in Wichita Saturday night.  Interim Commissioner of Education Brad Neuenswander made the announcement before a gathering of approximately 400 education officials, corporate leaders and state policy makers.

TOPEKA – Following a nationwide search, the Kansas State Board of Education today announced its selection of Dr. Randy Watson, Superintendent of McPherson Unified School District 418, to become Kansas’ next Commissioner of Education.
TOPEKA – The Kansas State Department of Education today announced the hiring of Brittany Crabtree as Executive Director of the Kansas Volunteer Commission (KVC), a governor appointed commission that serves to promote and develop volunteerism throughout Kansas.

TOPEKA – The Kansas State Board of Education (KSBE) today announced that it has identified four candidates for the position of Kansas State Commissioner of Education, vacated earlier this year when former Commissioner Dr. Diane DeBacker resigned to serve as senior advisor to the Director General of the Abu Dhabi Education Council.
