FY 2023 reporting survey for ESSER funds opens Nov. 1; KSDE offering in-person and webinar trainings

The fiscal year 2023 annual reporting survey for Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief (ESSER) funds will open Nov. 1, and the deadline for submission is Jan. 12, 2024.  Completing this report is mandatory to ensure districts continue receiving federal funds without interruption.

Details on the ESSER funds are posted on the KSDE website under the Federal Disaster and Pandemic webpage under Annual Reporting for ESSER and will be updated as available.

KSDE will be hosting two webinars/office hours and three in-person meetings for the listserv. To attend the Annual Reporting Webinar via Zoom, go to https://ksde.zoom.us/j/81795432915.

The first reporting webinar will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 1. This webinar will be recorded and posted on the website as soon as it is available.

The second webinar will be 11 a.m. to noon Monday, Jan. 8. The purpose for this time will be to answer remaining ESSER annual reporting questions, and it will not be recorded.

  • The first in-person training will be 9 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, Nov. 14, at Holiday Inn Wichita East I-35, 549 South Rock Road, in Wichita. The registration link for the Wichita meeting is TASN Events | KSDE TASN.
  • The second in-person training will be from 9 a.m. to noon on Wednesday, Nov. 15, at Marriott Kansas City Overland Park, 10800 Metcalf Avenue in Overland Park. The registration link for the Overland Park meeting is TASN Events | KSDE TASN.
  • The third in-person training will be from 9 a.m. to noon Friday, Nov. 17, at Holiday Inn Salina, 3145 South 9th, in Salina. The registration link for the Salina meeting is TASN Events | KSDE TASN.
