The Kansas State Department of Education’s Fiscal Auditing Office is collecting each school district’s one-page 2022-2023 school calendar.   

Having this document helps the auditors when scheduling the annual KSDE audit in each district.

At this time, districts will be able to enter and submit information for the Fall Vacancy Report (FVR).  The deadline for submission of the Fall Vacancy Report is Monday, Sept. 26, 2022.

So far, 14 Kansas school districts have applied for a total of 43 electric buses, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).

With the school year starting, it’s a good time to remind drivers to be vigilant when school buses are in the vicinity and to obey the law, which requires all motorists to stop when approaching or overtaking a stopped school bus displaying its flashing red stop arm.
