Frequently asked questions about DGSR, which opens Oct. 1

The Dropout Graduation Summary Report (DGSR) opens Oct. 1.

It is crucial that each building logs into the KSDE Authenticated Applications portal and opens the DGSR Application to verify and validate the prior year’s graduation and dropout data.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What is the window to complete the DGSR validation?

Oct. 1-Oct. 31. Once the window closes, you will not be able to update/correct data.

What is the “DGSR”?

DGSR stands for “Dropout Graduation Summary Report.” It is the application KSDE uses to build out the annual reports on dropouts and graduation.

Who needs to log in and sign off on the data?

Every building in the district (including virtual schools) should have at least one person designated to log in and validate the data.

Which grades are used to calculate the data?

Grades 9-12 are used in the graduation calculations. Grades 7-12 are used in dropout calculations.

Do elementary and middle schools need to do this as well?

Yes. All buildings should log in to validate their individual data. Even if the building’s data is not being used in the calculations, the application is still able to provide insight into the student populations.
