Applications are now open for the 2024 Renew America’s School Prize, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Renew America’s Schools Team. The team was created to promote the implementation of clean energy improvements at K-12 public schools across the country. It aims to help school communities make energy upgrades that will decrease energy use and cost, improve indoor air quality, and foster healthier learning environments.
The Kansas Volunteer Commission has announced the Youth Civic Engagement mini-grant, which supports the civic engagement of youth in grades K-12. For this grant, applicants must engage youth in the planning and implementation of grant activities. Priority will be given to applications that include youth-led and youth-initiated projects.
