KU, Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park to celebrate 70th anniversary of Supreme Court’s ruling April 18-19

To commemorate the 70th anniversary of the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling in the Brown v. Board of Education of Topeka case, the University of Kansas and the Brown v. Board of Education National Historical Park will host an event series and conference April 18-19.

The series is scheduled to start with an opening dinner at 5:30 p.m. April 18, at the Jayhawk Welcome Center on the University of Kansas campus, in Lawrence.

The conference will begin with a continental breakfast at 8:30 a.m. April 19 at the Burge Union on KU’s Lawrence campus. The conference will wrap up at 3 p.m. and attendees are invited to a community discussion from 4-5 p.m. at the Brown v. Board Museum in Topeka.

The events are free and open to the public, but registration is required no later than April 5. For more information and to register, click here.
