The Accreditation Review Council (ARC) plays a critical role in advancing the Kansas vision for education by assuring education systems are implementing effective continuous improvement processes that lead to improved student results.
The Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE) Accreditation and Design (AD) team shared these updates and reminders:
This year, 179 systems are going before the Accreditation Review Council (ARC) and the Kansas State Board of Education to receive an accreditation.
At the end of the 2022-2023 school year, the Accreditation and Review Council (ARC) will say goodbye to six of its members who have completed the maximum length of service, which is two, three-year terms. Thus, new applicants are being sought to fill the open seats.
This year, 179 systems are going before the Accreditation Review Council (ARC) and the Kansas State Board of Education to receive an accreditation rating.
Systems/school districts entering year five of the Kansas Education Systems (KESA) process should report the date their year five on-site visit is scheduled.
