The Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Early Childhood team and the Kansas Parent Information Resource Center (KPIRC) are partnering for an online training on the Ages and Stages Questionnaires ® Third Edition (ASQ:3) and Ages and Stages ®: Social-Emotional, Second Edition (ASQ: SE-2).
This free training will take place from 9 a.m. to noon online. Check-in will begin at 8:55 a.m.
This training is designed to provide any professional working with children birth through kindergarten entry with an understanding of ASQ:3 and ASQ: SE-2 and how to effectively partner with families to complete the developmental screenings.
The training incorporates a family study, role-playing connections with caregivers, and scoring exercises. Participants also will learn how to discuss screening results, next steps and referrals to community resources with families. There is also an overview of ASQ Online.
KPIRC’s Tamara Huff and Heather Staab with the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) will lead the training.
