Funds will support organizations planning projects for MLK Day of Service
The Kansas Volunteer Commission (KVC) is announcing funding for organizations initiating community service or service-learning projects that involve at least 15 volunteers on or around Martin Luther King Day.
Any Kansas public or private nonprofit organizations, public or private schools, and institutions of higher education and government operating in the state of Kansas, are invited to apply. The MLK Day of Service is a part of United We Serve, the president's national call to service initiative.
The Commission will make awards of up to $750 to organizations that host volunteer projects and service activities. Requests should be a minimum of $450 and not exceed $750. There is a total of $3,750 to award.
