The Kansas Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) and Alignment preschool team is offering a free in-person professional development opportunity with Dr. Mary Louise Hemmeter in Hays and Topeka.
"Addressing Challenging Behavior: A Proactive Approach" will take place from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Feb. 8 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Hays. Register here.

Hemmeter is a professor at Vanderbilt University. Her research focuses on effective instruction, supporting social-emotional development, addressing challenging behavior and coaching teachers.
In these sessions, Hemmeter will take a deep dive into understanding challenging behavior, reflecting on why a child is engaging in these behaviors and identifying strategies for supporting children in collaboration with their families.
