Grant opportunity available for computer science PD providers

The Kansas Legislature and Gov. Laura Kelly in the spring passed HB 2466, the PACK Act, which provides a grant to professional development providers offering PD to Kansas educators in the area of computer science.

The funds are distributed through a competitive grant process, with the total amount available for fiscal year 2023 about $1 million. It must be expended by June 30, 2023. Applications will be processed beginning Oct. 1. Applications will be accepted after Oct. 1 until all funds are depleted.

The information and application packet are now housed on the KSDE computer science website. Please follow this link: https://www.ksde.org/Agency/Division-of-Learning-Services/Career-Standards-and-Assessment-Services/Content-Area-A-E/Computer-Science
