8: National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) CTE New Skilled Trades Instructor Workshop Conference, DoubleTree by Hilton Wichita Airport, 2098 Airport Road. Registration is free for CTE instructors and coordinators, and professional development credit will be provided. Kristin Magette, assistant director of the Kansas Association of School Boards (KASB), will be the featured speaker. She will share the crisis communication essentials that district leaders need to build trust with stakeholders. Free.  

8: 1-3 p.m., Kansas Educational Leadership Institute (KELI)’s Solutions to Your Recruitment and Retention Concerns. A conversation focused on options for engaging in recruitment and retention solutions. Auburn-Washburn Unified School District 437, Liberal USD 480, Kansas City USD 500, the Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) and Educate Kansas will share success stories, answer questions and provide support.
