KSDE’s Accreditation and Design team asking systems to schedule in-person KESA check-ins

During the Kansas Education Systems Accreditation (KESA) Kick Off event on Aug. 10, the Kansas State Department of Education’s Accreditation and Design team outlined three expectations that exist for every system during the 2023-2024 school year.

While this year is being set up as a Learning Year, there is still a lot of work to be completed.

As a reminder, here are the three expectations as they relate to KESA requirements for the 2023-2024 school year:

  • Collect data and evidence around continuous improvement, store locally.
  • Engage in an in-person KESA Check-In with your KESA Regional Executive (spring 2024).
  • Engage in a Peer Review

KSDE’s Accreditation and Design team is beginning the process of scheduling in-person KESA check-ins with regional executives now.

As soon as possible, please complete this Google form with information for scheduling your KESA check-in. All forms are due Oct. 1 so that KSDE can ensure each system is set up for a spring visit.
