KSDE staff members to provide KIDS staff training

The Kansas State Department of Education’s (KSDE)’s Kansas Individual Data on Students (KIDS) staff will offer training in the southwestern part of Kansas in November and in the northeast part of the state in December.

The team will be in Ulysses from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. Nov. 14, and in Wichita from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. Nov. 15. The team will be in Topeka from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 5 in Suite 102 of the KSDE office, 900 S.W. Jackson.

All sessions have 30 total seats available. To register, visit the KSDE Training Portal.

You must have an account to register. Upon login, click KIDS and KIDS Training to access courses.

Who should attend? Anyone who works with student data - either submitting the data or preparing it for submission or signing off on submitted data. Participants may want to complete some self-paced tutorials before class for the basics. Introduction to KIDS/KEDS is recommended for staff with little to no KIDS experience. Uploading Data in KIDS Tutorials is recommended for staff struggling with uploading data.

The course will focus on using KIDS data, understanding submission types and methods and be more hands-on than in previous years.
