2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year online authenticated application program opens Friday, Sept. 8

Kansas school districts are encouraged to nominate one exemplary elementary classroom teacher and one exemplary secondary classroom teacher for the 2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year award program. 

The 2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year online authenticated application program opens Friday, Sept. 8. District nominees may begin work on the application now. All applications must be submitted using the authenticated application program by 5 p.m. Nov. 9. 

Participating in this program demonstrates your district values exceptional teaching, and provides critical professional development opportunities for your nominees. 

Principals and superintendents will be required to approve and sign the nomination form completed by their candidate(s). 

The 2025 Kansas Teacher of the Year nomination packet is available on the KSDE website at https://www.ksde.org/Portals/0/Communications/KTOY%202025%20Nomination%20Packet.pdf?ver=2023-09-06-092841-820 

To access the portal, go to the KSDE website at https://www.ksde.org. Under Popular Resources on the right side of the homepage, click on the button for Authenticated Applications. Follow the directions provided in the nomination packet.
