1-800-CHILDREN webinar opportunities available in August

1-800-CHILDREN is a statewide 24/7 judgment-free parent helpline powered by Kansas Children’s Service League. At 1-800-CHILDREN, families can easily connect with the information, local resources and support they need 24/7, even if what they need is a listening ear.

1-800-CHILDREN is providing three trainings that will discuss what happens when a person calls 1-800-CHILDREN, how to navigate the online resource directory, and how to claim a program and use the site analytics features that come with it. There will also be a Q&A session at the end of each training. Use the links below to register ahead of time for the training that works best for you.

All Preschool-Aged At-Risk programs, Kansas Preschool Pilot grantees and KSDE-funded Kansas Parents as Teachers programs are required to register their information in 1-800-CHILDREN, update their information in the system regularly, and share information with the families they serve.

These trainings are an excellent opportunity for programs to learn more about the resource and how to best take advantage of the full range of services they offer to families.

For questions about 1-800-CHILDREN, contact Kaitlyn Moore, community engagement and marketing coordinator for the Kansas Children’s Service League, at kamoore@kcsl.org or (316) 633-5158.
