Kansans Can Competencies online courses being offered

Six-week fall and winter online courses, designed for elementary teachers, counselors, social workers and related service providers for students in grades kindergarten through sixth, are being offered on behalf of the Kansas State Department of Education.

This professional development empowers educators to systematically implement self-efficacy and self-regulation curricula and facilitate students’ ongoing practice with feedback.

These courses require no in-person meetings, and work is completed across the six weeks. Each course is led by a recognized trainer and costs $20 with competency-specific lessons and student workbooks (18 CEUs per course, approved by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board).

To enroll, see Online Courses at https://www.ksdetasn.org/competency/training-opportunities. For an additional fee to Baker University, one graduate credit is available for each online course.
