The 2023 School Bus Safety Poster Contest rules are now available through the link below. Any student in Kansas may enter. A poster must win at the state level to be entered into the national contest. The KSDE School Bus Safety Unit will be responsible for submitting posters to the national contest. Posters can be drawn anytime between now and March 1, 2023. Posters must be submitted to the Kansas Dept. of Education School Bus Safety Unit BEFORE March 10, 2023. 1st place winners in each division at the state level will receive a plaque and a check for $50. Their teacher (as listed on their entry form) will receive a check for $25 toward the purchase of classroom materials. State winners will be notified after May 1st and will be recognized at the School Transportation Safety Conference on June 3, 2023. The School Bus Safety Poster Contest is co-sponsored by the Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association and the Kansas Department of Education School Bus Safety Unit.
The National School Bus Safety Poster Contest is sponsored each year by the National Association for Pupil Transportation, the National Association of State Directors of Pupil Transportation Services and the National School Transportation Association.
