Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association (KSPTA) was formed in 1970 by a forward looking group of dedicated transportation professionals. It was formed to enhance and ensure the safety of students transported via school bus in the State of Kansas. To this end, the organization is still dedicated

We are quickly coming up on the regional safe driver competitions (formerly known as a bus rodeo) for 2025. All Kansas school bus drivers are invited to participate in the regional competitions as outlined below. NOTE: you are not required to participate in a regional competition to be eligible for the State competition.
Regional Dates and Locations are currently pending We look forward to seeing all of you at the district competitions. Remember to bring a lawn chair, sunscreen, and water! The Study Guide (see link below) is designed to prepare you to take the Kansas State Pupil Transportation Association’s General Knowledge Regional (25 questions) and State (50 questions) Competition Tests. The Competition Manual (see link below) is designed to prepare you for the actual driving portion.
Save the Dates! The 2025 School Transportation Safety Conference & State Driving Competiton will be held June 4 thru June 6 at the Doubletree Hotel in Wichita. Competition day will be Wednesday, June 4 followed by educational workshops on June 5 and 6. Vendor Showcase will be held on June 5 and the annual awards banquet on June 6.
