Has your district made plans for its tornado drill during March? Per K.S.A. 31-133, each school district must conduct a tornado drill during the month of March.

March 6-10 is Severe Weather Awareness Week.

The statewide tornado drill will take place at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 7. If severe weather is forecast for that day, the statewide tornado drill will be rescheduled.

Please work with your county emergency manager to conduct your tornado drill.
