16th annual TASN KIC Technology Conference and Student Awards Luncheon scheduled

The Kansas Technical Assistance System Network (TASN) and Kansas Infinitec Coalition (KIC) are hosting the 16th annual TASN KIC Technology Conference and Outstanding Technology Student Awards Luncheon from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2. 

The event will take place at the Wichita East Marriott, 9100 Corporate Hills Drive in Wichita. Hotel reservations can be made for $119 at the Wichita East Marriott. The special rate ends Nov. 17. 

Check-in time is at 8 a.m. There are three sessions to choose from: 

  • Supporting Emergency Literacy and Language Development for Learners Who Use Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC). The presenter is Ashley Larisey, a licensed speech language pathologist and clinical educator. 

  • Fostering a Culture of Connection Via Supporting Executive Function and Accessible Education Materials (AEM). The presenters are Alexis Reid and Janet Peters, education consultants. 

  • Building Better Belonging: Intentional Implementation of SEL (Social Emotional Learning) in the Classroom. The presenter is Chris Bronke, an education consultant. 

The registration fee for Infinitec Coalition members is $95. It is $135 for nonmembers. The registration fee includes lunch at the Outstanding Student Technology Awards Luncheon.
