Information on electronically filing CPA audit reports, single audit reports

School districts and Local Education Agencies (LEAs) are required to electronically file their CPA audit report and Single Audit (A-133) report with the Department of Administration, Municipal Services.

Single Audits are required to be completed within nine months following the end of the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022, for LEAs spending more than $750,000 in federal funds. Therefore, Single Audits should be completed by March 31, 2023, and submitted to the Federal Audit Clearinghouse at the following web address: https://facweb.census.gov/.

LEA’s expending less than $750,000 in federal funds are required to submit a CPA audit report by June 30, 2023.

Districts/LEAs should continue to also submit these reports electronically to KSDE’s Fiscal Auditing team at auditing@ksde.org. The report should be converted to a PDF and named in this format: D0 (zero, then district number), LEA name, fiscal year. For example, D0107 Rock Hills 2022.

If including a management letter, use a similar format to name the document, for example D0107 Rock Hills 2022 Mgmt Ltr.
