Kansas Division for Early Childhood Conference slated for Feb. 29-March 1

The 42nd annual Kansas Division for Early Childhood Conference (KDEC) offers attendees an opportunity for professional growth and an array of sessions, networking experiences and other activities. 

The conference is scheduled for Feb. 29-March 1 in Wichita at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Wichita Airport, 2098 Airport Road. 

The theme for this year’s conference is “Inclusion Matters!” 

KDEC promotes the education of young children with exceptional needs and encourages professional growth and research as a means of better understanding the unique needs related to young, exceptional children. 

Norman Kunc and Emma Van der Klift, well-known speakers and advocates within the disability rights community will offer a virtual keynote presentation. They will be available via Zoom for questions after their presentation. 

A special room rate of $130 is available through Friday, Jan. 26, or until the room block is sold out, whichever comes first.

There is financial assistance available for parents and students who want to attend the conference. Click the link above for more information. Decisions regarding financial assistance will be made based on the availability of funds.
