Commissioner's Message concerning construction incident impacting KITE assessment delivery system

Posted: Mar 31, 2016
Author: Ann Bush

A construction incident earlier this week that damaged a fiber cable at the University of Kansas continues to impact the performance of the KITE assessment delivery system. This morning, the Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation asked that schools suspend testing for the remainder of the day while crews continue to work on restoring full service to the university.

I extend my sincerest apology to every district, every staff member and every student impacted by this situation. I know that our frustration with the situation cannot begin to compare to yours, but please know that we are pushing for a speedy and complete resolution.

We will continue to keep you updated as more information becomes available.

Thank you for your continued patience and for your commitment to the success of each student.
