If you’re involved with or concerned about Kansans learning how to handle money successfully – you’ve come to the right place.

The Kansas Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy is an independently governed, nonprofit organization established in 2003. Our members represent business, government, education, and other nonprofits who have joined together to improve the personal financial literacy of Kansas’s youth.

Our Mission: The Kansas Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy seeks to improve the personal financial literacy of consumers of all ages in Kansas, with an emphasis placed on the financial literacy efforts designed to help low to moderate-income individuals outside of the financial mainstream.  Its purpose is to increase awareness about financial literacy and to provide associated resources and information to Kansas constituents including financial education that fosters financial stability and to support the economic empowerment and financial inclusion of low to moderate-income people throughout Kansas.
Our goals:
  • Raise public awareness of the need for personal financial education.
  • Advocate the integrating of personal finance education into existing curricular standards.
  • Enhance professional development of Kansas educators in financial literacy.
  • Promote communication and cooperation among Kansas Jump$tart Coalition members.
