First Choice Support Services, a Salina-based organization specializing in Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) reimbursement and nutrition related issues, was recognized by the National CACFP Sponsors Association with a certificate, letter of congratulations and $250 for its successful outreach in the community to spread the word about the Child and Adult Care Food Program during National CACFP Week held in March. 
TOPEKA – KSDE was recently notified that Kansas is one of 19 states to have received the U.S. Department of Education’s Office of Special Education Programs’ (OSEP) highest level of achievement in 2015 for providing educational services to children and youth with disabilities.
Olathe East High School math teacher Patrick Flynn and Indian Trail Middle School science teacher Jeremi Wonch have been named 2013 National Finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching.
