TOPEKA – Beau Bragg, an elementary physical education teacher at Bonner Springs Elementary School (Bonner Springs USD 204), and Kimberly Nelson, a sixth-grade English language arts teacher at Robert E. Clark Middle School in Bonner Springs (Bonner Springs USD 204), were named Region 3 finalists for the 2015 Kansas Teacher of the Year award during a ceremony this evening at the Marriott Hotel in Overland Park. This award recognizes excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state.
TOPEKA – Lisa Holt, an elementary special education teacher at Country View Elementary School in Winfield (Winfield USD 465), and Dennis Munk, a high school physical education teacher at Campus High School in Wichita (Haysville USD 261), were named Region 4 finalists for the 2015 Kansas Teacher of the Year award during a ceremony this evening at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Wichita. This award recognizes excellent teaching in the elementary and secondary classrooms of the state.
TOPEKA – Kansas Mentors today announced that it has entered into a friendly competition with its counterpart in Iowa to see which state can recruit the most new mentors during the annual Coaches’ Mentoring Challenge.
