Parents, stakeholders invited to meet candidates for Kansas State Schools for the Deaf and Blind superintendent position

Parents of students at the Kansas State Schools for the Deaf and Blind, as well as all other interested stakeholders, will have an opportunity to meet candidates for the superintendent position.

Madeleine Burkindine, current superintendent of the Kansas Schools for the Deaf and Blind, will retire at the end of the 2016-2017 school year. The Kansas State Board of Education is conducting a search to hire a new superintendent to oversee both schools.

Candidate names will be announced the morning of their scheduled interviews. 

Dates to meet superintendent candidates are as follows: 

Kansas State School for the Deaf

450 E. Park St., Olathe, Kan.

 

Kansas State School for the Blind

1100 State Ave., Kansas City, Kan.
