The Kansas State Board of Education met on April 14-15, 2009, at the Learning Center in Dodge City.
The Kansas State Department of Education in partnership with the National Park Service will be recognizing four Kansas schools and/or districts that have demonstrated outstanding character education programs.
The Kansas State Board of Education met on March 10, in Topeka, and March 11 at the Kansas State School for the Deaf, Olathe, and Kansas State School for the Blind, Kansas City. All members were present at the March 10 meeting.
The Real World Design Challenge National event, sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy, will be held at the National 4-H Youth Conference Center located just outside of Washington, DC on March 20-22, 2009.

TOPEKA/The Kansas Volunteer Commission announced today that Spring Hill High School, Spring Hill, and John Dewey Learning Academy, Lecompton, have been selected as Kansas Service-Learning Leader Schools.
