Kansas Education Employment Board Website to be Launched September 17
TOPEKA, September 12, 2007 / On September 17, 2007, the redesigned Kansas Education Employment Board (KEEB) website will be launched by the Student Services team of the Kansas Department of Education. The mission of KEEB is to provide districts, schools, and organizations in Kansas an efficient online recruitment tool to attract and hire highly qualified educators. The Kansas Education Employment Board, a one-stop educational recruitment source, is a FREE service of the Kansas State Department of Education. The new site is located at www.kansasteachingjobs.com
KEEB allows schools and districts across the state to post job openings and locate candidates. Individuals interested in a career in education can post an application and apply for specific positions. KEEB provides up-to-date information on both job postings and applicants in a user friendly format such as RSS feeds to employers and applicants. Schools and districts can showcase their district through video and digital images allowing applicants to make more informed employment decision. Additionally, candidates can learn about Kansas licensure requirements, scholarship and loan deferment programs, and Kansas teacher preparation programs.

Governor Kathleen Sebelius contributed a brief video regarding the importance of the
teaching profession in Kansas. In the video she states, “As Governor of Kansas, I appreciate the opportunity that teachers are afforded as they look for teaching positions in Kansas.   I want to commend the State Department of Education for establishing the Kansas Educational Employment Board and for providing a link to this Board on the KSDE website.”
