NEW »» Based on the input and recommendations of the pilot schools, the KEEP Repository new enhancements version has been released. Notable enhancements include the batch selection of evaluation roles; the unlock of cycles; and the add, delete and print buttons.
NEW »» KSDE is currently working on the creation of a “sandbox” environment for KEEP districts to use for the training of teachers and building leaders. This will be a web-based tool with full access to all KEEP district trainers and users. The end of May is our anticipated release.

NEW »» The new Evaluation Systems Map 2013 is available and being updated weekly. Please check your district and make sure that it is correct. Email kakweks@ksde.org for any edits that need to be made to the map.

Check Off List for KEEP Registration – Did You Complete these Important Steps?

1.District must have entered Educator’s data in EDCS before the Educator can register in Authenticated Applications
2.Educator must register for access to KEEP through Authenticated Applications and select a User Name and Password to be registered with a login
3.Educator must then click on either Register or Manage My Account to add KEEP to an existing login
4.Educator will click on the check box next to Keep and then select Educator Update
5.Educator must verify their KSDE Licensing Number (Educator ID) and their Social Security Number. Do not use dashes with Social Security Number.
6.When KEEP Repository registration is complete the Educator will receive an e-mail indicating they have been approved for access to KEEP.
7.Educator can then use their new Log-In to access KEEP
8.Educator will now see KEEP listed in their KSDE Web Applications links
9.Educator can go into Authenticated Applications and select KEEP to enter the KEEP Repository
10.Educators must log into KEEP at least one time in order for all data to populate KEEP

Kansas Educator Evaluation Project - Assurances
A Peer Review Team, commissioned by the Director of Teacher Licensure and Accreditation, has determined the following employee evaluation system(s) have adequately met each of the six Guidelines as outlined in the Kansas Flexibility Waiver. However, all districts using KSDE approved employee evaluation systems must complete the Guidelines Assurance Review sheet located on this webpage. The KSDE approved evaluation systems will also answer the call of The Blueprint for Reform as released by the U. S. Department of Education.
  • McREL evaluation system is approved provided the local district personalizes guidelines 3, 5 and 6.
