Kansas Effective Practices Instructional Toolkit

Welcome

Welcome to the Kansas Effective Practices Instructional Toolkit!

The Effective Practices Instructional Toolkit is based on a vast body of research that spans 100 years in the field of gifted education that highlights what does and what does not work for these bright students. Although the synthesis of the research supports the instructional needs of the advanced learners, these strategies also provide support and opportunities for more meaningful student engagement for all students, especially those in systems that currently focus on the more traditional “at risk” student population.

Some features of the toolkit require the Adobe Acrobat PDF Reader software which can be downloaded for free from www.adobe.com if it is not already installed on the computer. The materials and software available on the web site are provided "as is" without any express, conspicuous or implied warranty of any kind including warranties of merchantability, non-infringement of intellectual property rights, or fitness for any particular purpose.  The web site contains links to third party web sites.  While the links in this toolkit are curent as of publication, third party sites may experience name and server changes, change page content, or remove pages without warning causing broken links and missing files.
