Kansas Department of Education

The following information is designed to assist districts in developing the Curriculum Integration Assessment section of the Technology Plan:

How does the district know that technology is being integrated into curriculum?

What evidence will we look for to know that technology is integrated into the classroom?

How will the district know that students are mastering the computer education curriculum/outcomes?

If applicable: How do you know the ISTE NETs Standards for students/teachers being addressed?  (www.iste.org/nets/ )

What assessment/evidence is the district gathering to ensure students are technology literate by the end of 8th grade (as reported on the LCP)?

Classroom observations (we should see teachers/students using 21st Century Learning Tools in the classroom)

Project-based learning opportunities  (we should see the results: student projects/artifacts, student projects—power point, brochures, student created movies, websites, graphic organizers (ie. Inspirations), idea webs, etc

Include information related to LCP 8th grade Technology Literacy reporting requirements.

What course(s) are offered?  How are students assessed?

At the HS level, if .5 (Perkins) funding is leveraged, how does the ‘advisory committee’ assist your efforts?

Are there skills surveys that you administer to staff (ie. LoTi), students (ie.  simpleassessment.com) etc..
