Tracks within the DQC Program
The Data Quality Certification Program consists of specialized tracks specific to the role a school or district staff member plays in managing student data for the school or district. For more information, visit the corresponding webpage for each track listed below.
Data Coordinators are responsible for submitting data directly to KSDE. They may or may not perform data entry tasks in addition to their submission responsibilities. The Data Coordinator track is the most comprehensive track and so individuals who perform both data entry and data coordinator tasks should pursue certification as a data coordinator.
Data Entry staff are responsible for entering student information into the school's local student information system. The data entry track is designed for those who do not directly submit any student information to KSDE via KIDS.
The Administrator track is designed for building and district administrators who may rely on other staff to work directly with student data but have the authority and responsibility to verify and sign off on data submitted to the state on behalf of their school or district as principals or superintendents. Assistant principals, assistant or deputy superintendents and building administrators will also find participation in the Administrator track benficial.
The Program Staff track in Assessments & Accountability is designed for specialized program staff, such as Assessment Coordinators and other building or district personnel responsible for data that directly affects State assessments and/or AYP and QPA. This person may not submit the batch files to the KIDS Collection System, and may or may not enter data into the local Student Information System; however, this person plays a role in collecting, reporting, and/or organizing assessment and accountability data for the school or district.
