First term on State Board: 2017 Committee Assignments:
Mrs. Mah has had a wide ranging career in public service. She served as a Kansas State Representative 2005-2013; AdvancEd Kansas State Board member 2001-2016; former QPA Advisory Council member; former North Central Association Postsecondary Recognition Council member; past member Kansas Advisory Council on Career and Technical Education. In addition she has experience with community organizations including service as the past national president of the American Business Women's Association; past Board of Directors for the United Way of Greater Topeka, the Topeka Corporate Volunteer Council, and the Shawnee Heights Public Schools Foundation; current member of the Lutheran Fine Arts Council of Topeka
Mrs. Mah has a Bachelor of Science in Education and a Master of Science in Curriculum from Emporia State University. She taught in public high schools for five years and was a manager at Southwestern Bell/AT&T for more than 21 years. She is married to Larry Mah. They have a son and two grandchildren.
