Levels of Technology Implementation is a tool published by the National Business Education Association (NBEA) that is being provided to schools nationwide. LoTi is a validated tool will help Kansas schools measure the effectiveness of technology implementation in the classroom!. The LoTi resources are offered at no cost to schools, however, for access to detailed report, there is an incidental fee. The TAKE team is recommending this resource to schools to support Technology Integration activities, Technology Professional Development and in support of District Technology Plan activities and development! A LoTi Lounge account has been established for the State of Kansas and can be used for free by educators statewide. Provided below is all information that your participants will need to register in the LoTi Lounge and get started with the DETAILS for the 21st Century Questionnaire.
New participants will need the Kansas GroupID and Password to complete a ONE TIME registration sequence that identifies them with the State of Kansas and as an individual. It may be a good idea to inform participants ahead of time that a User ID, Password, and valid Email address will be required to have full access to LoTi Lounge. Since the LoTi Lounge is a secure system, participants should write down their user information someplace safe to avoid future data retrieval issues. Participants should follow the instructions below to access the LoTi Lounge, take the questionnaire, and optionally print their individual results.
LoTi Lounge Instructions for New Users:
NEW users are defined as educators who have never registered in the LoTi Lounge or taken the DETAILS (or LoTi) Questionnaire in the past.
1. Access the LoTi Lounge at: http://www.lotilounge.com/
2. Click on the link that says 'Sign Me Up!' (in the 'I'm a New User' section of the LoTi Lounge login block) to complete a ONE TIME registration sequence that will both identify you as part of the State of Kansas and as an individual user.
3. Follow the registration instructions on the screen. You will first be prompted to enter your Group ID and Password. Participants from the State of Kansas should use the following:
GroupID: kansas
Password: kansas
4. Next, you will be prompted to enter your User Information including a a User ID and Password of your choosing. This User ID and password should be something you will remember as it is what you will use to login to LoTi Lounge in the future.* It is strongly recommended that you WRITE DOWN your selected User ID and User Password information as many school districts take the questionnaire more than once and it is necessary to re-access the LoTi Lounge system.
5. Next, you will be prompted to enter your Email address. Entering a valid email address is necessary to have full access to LoTi Lounge.
6. Finally, you will be prompted to select your organization from a structural list that has already been entered into the computer based on the Group ID you were given. Choose your organization and click 'Continue' to complete the registration process.
* Note: If you wish to go through the process of taking the questionnaire without receiving a score or so that you can instruct others, simply use the User ID [test_yourname], the password [test], and the email address [yourname@test.com]. Please substitute your name for 'yourname' in the previous sentence when creating a test User ID so that the User ID and Password are recognized as unique by the LoTi Lounge system. These records are deleted from the questionnaire database each night.
LoTi Lounge Instructions for Returning Users:
RETURNING users are defined as educators who have already registered in the LoTi Lounge or taken the DETAILS (or LoTi) Questionnaire in the past, and who already have a LoTi Lounge User ID and User Password.
1. Access the LoTi Lounge at: http://www.lotilounge.com/
2. Enter your previously registered User ID and Password in the fields provided (in the 'I'm already registered' section of the LoTi Lounge login block), then click 'Submit' to enter the LoTi Lounge. If you are a registered user but do not remember your LOGIN information, click on the 'Need help signing in?' link. Entering your email address will prompt the LoTi Lounge system to email you a copy of your previously registered User ID and Password.
LoTi Profiler Administrative Monitoring:
The LoTi Profiler Administrative website will allow district administrators to monitor the current survey period online for your organization in real-time. At this website, up-to-the-minute aggregate information about your group is always available. You can also purchase the LoTi Profiler Reporting Package, allowing you unlimited access to all of your group's aggregate data and the ability to print both LoTi Technology Use Profile reports and DETAILS Profile reports.
Attached below is a list of district administrative login Group ID's to be given to the appropriate school district representatives for monitoring the DETAILS survey. Once each district representative has their access Group ID, they can follow the instructions below to access the LoTi Profiler Administrative website:
1. Access the LoTi Lounge at: http://www.lotilounge.com/
2. Click on the Administrator LOGIN button for LoTi Profiler on the left.
3. Enter the Group ID and Administrative Password for your district to enter:
Group ID: admin access Group ID given to you by state department (contact take@ksde.org )
Admin Password for Kansas: admin669
