Online KAN-DIS Training Demonstrations

KSDE will be offering several Microsoft Live Meeting training sessions in the KAN-DIS application for the 2009 school year. These demonstrations will be specific to one of the three methods listed below.

If more than one person from the same school or district would like to participate by watching the training together, only one person needs to register.

KSDE reserves the right to cancel/combine/add any training session based on demand.

Individual Incident Entry (Option #1)

This method is for schools/districts that plan to use KAN-DIS as their comprehensive discipline incident management system. These schools will be entering incidents individually into the online application. This method requires navigating the KAN-DIS application interface and entering individual discipline incidents into the application.

KAN-DIS: Importing Incidents via a Batch File (Option #2)

This method is for schools/districts that plan to import their discipline incidents from another discipline product into the online KAN-DIS application.  This method requires a school or district to complete the process of importing incidents from another software application into KAN-DIS and on submitting the required incidents to KSDE.

NCLB – Only / IDEA Student Level Aggregate Reporting (Option #3)

This method is for schools/districts that plan to enter only the aggregate data required for NCLB reporting and the student-level data required for IDEA via an online report interface, similar to the one used in previous years. This method requires reporting the required aggregate NCLB and student-level IDEA discipline data into the KAN-DIS data reporting interface.
