What kinds of incidents have to be reported? Does a school have to report every incident?

No matter what the reason for the In School Suspension it is reportable to the State through KANDIS?  and what is the definition of In School Suspension?

Does a school need to fill out the KAN-DIS report if they have no incidences to report?

Can you tell me where I can find what KSDE considers to be a violence incident with regard to reporting in KAN-DIS?

I am a district-level user, and do not wish to record individual incident data using KAN-DIS.  Can I just create one district administrator login, go in at the end of the year, enter all of my information in aggregate, and submit to KSDE all at once?

We have had a non-violent incident occur. There are a total of ten offenders in the incident.  Nine of the students received demerits, but the other student earned an OSS.  When I report this incident do I only report the one student who earned an OSS, or because there was an OSS involved in the incident do I report all ten offenders?

Can OSS be recorded as a half day or does it have to be a whole day?

I have been given the responsibility to upload and manage our KAN-DIS data for the entire district. I am set up with district administrator level access.  I cannot access the import file option.  I cannot access the data entry functions.  If this has something to do with district administrator access as opposed to district data entry access, I need function of both roles, including uploads and approvals.  How do I get them?

We don’t actually have Saturday school—we have Friday school—which is held from after school to 5 PM on Fridays.  Can we use the Saturday school code (410) for our Friday school?

My superintendent approved my application access request so I was able to go in and find out that our elementary school reports were incomplete. I contacted the elementary principal who has approved it. They hit the approve button. Will this take 24 hours to be reflected on the reports for the elementary school now? When I went back in, it still showed incomplete.

Do private schools have to submit the NCLB/IDEA discipline reports?

Will IDEA information automatically populate the final reports once we have imported the SPED incident records?

If a school sends their KAN-DIS extract file to you, then, for example realizes that either a students discipline information was incorrect, or forgot to include a student's discipline incident, does the entire extract need to be resent, or just the student whose information has changed or was initially forgotten?

On the Students with Firearms Report, (Table 3) if a student brought two different weapons on two different occasions, would you report it as one incident under "Multiple Firearms"?

The Firearm Outcomes Report (Table 4) says that the total number of expulsions should equal the number of expulsions reported in Students with Firearms (Table 3) but some of the firearm information reported in Table 3 resulted an out-of-school suspension and not expulsion. How can the total from the tables match?
