Nov. 18 Conference Call - Using special education staff in MTSSWe are pleased to invite you to a Conference Call on Wednesday, November 18 about using special education staff in a Multi-Tier System of Supports and for General Education Interventions. The impact on special education funding will also be discussed. Presenters Patty Gray, Crystal Davis, and Susan Sipe will repeat the presentation that was given at the KASEA Conference on October 30 with time at the end for questions. Please see details below.

KSDE Special Education Services and the EIPA Diagnostic Center are excited to offer three video conference workshops for the 2009-20010 academic year. The workshops are designed for interpreters working in K-12 classroom settings, community interpreters, future interpreters,K-12 interpreter mentors, deaf educators and individuals supervising or working with interpreters. The workshops will be offered via video conferencing technology and can be downloaded to multiple sites. read more ...
SES Request for Proposals (RFP) Information10/01/2009 The Special Education Services (SES) Team of the KSDE is pleased to announce a request for proposals (RFP) to award up to 8 grants for the new SES Technical Assistance Support Network (TASN). A bidders’ teleconference will be held on October 13, 2009. Letters of intent to submit a proposal(s) are due to Colleen Riley, State Director of Special Education Services Team, on or by close of business, October 23, 2009. Application deadline is 5:00 pm, December 30, 2009.
