KSDE LiveMedia streaming is designed for Windows operating systems utilizing Windows Media Player.  

KSDE LiveMedia streaming can support a significant but limited number of users, normally around 150. Users connecting to the broadcast beyond this capacity may experience degraded broadcast quality or lack of audio content. In most cases the broadcast is recorded and posted to the KSDE website after editing; contact livemedia@ksde.org or the meeting hosts for details.

To download earlier version of Windows Media Player, navigate with your browser to the Windows Media Download site at www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/download/ and follow the directions from there.

KSDE's LiveMedia streaming is designed to run on the Windows OS, but is also supported for MAC OS X 10.3.9 or higher.  You will need to download and install the Flip4Mac™ Windows Media® Components for QuickTime plugin (KSDE's Macinstosh test platform uses OS 10.6 and Flip4Mac). If you notice that the video plays for a few minutes and then restarts from the beginning, go to Flip4Mac's Preferences, select the Player tab, and ensure "Play Movies Automatically" is checked. This may lower the visual quality slightly - depending on your network bandwidth - but will help the player 'keep up' with the stream.

MAC users may also opt to utilize VLC Media Player to play KSDE live media streaming.

If you have completed the above steps and are still unable to view the live media stream, please contact your system administrator or IT specialist.

VLC Media Player  is a highly portable multimedia player for various audio and video formats (MPEG-1, MPEG-2, MPEG-4, DivX, mp3, ogg, ...) as well as DVDs, VCDs, and various streaming protocols on various operating systems.
