TOPEKA, KS – In an effort to address community needs statewide, the Kansas Volunteer Commission has re-opened the 2015-2016 application process for potential AmeriCorps Kansas programs.

Tuesday, March 10, at 10:00 a.m., Board Room, Kansas State Department of Education, Landon State Office Building, 900 SW Jackson Street, Topeka  

Wednesday, March  11, annual visits - 9:00 a.m., Kansas State School for the Deaf, Olathe; 1 p.m. at Kansas State School for the Blind, Kansas City.

TOPEKA – In a special ceremony this morning at the state capitol building, Governor Sam Brownback signed a proclamation declaring March 2-6, 2015 Kansas School Breakfast Week.
TOPEKA – Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) Interim Education Commissioner Brad Neuenswander kicked off the board meeting with a report on the Kansas Children, Kansas’ Future community conversations being held throughout the state.
TOPEKA – The Kansas State Department of Education today launched Join the Conversation!, an online tool available at http://standards.ksde.org that provides Kansas citizens the opportunity to study and submit feedback on the state’s current English language arts and mathematics academic standards.
