TOPEKA, Kan.—Kansas Mentors (KM) is pleased to announce Topeka Seaman High School’s College and Career Ready Senior Internship program has been named a 2015 Gold Star program.
TOPEKA -- The 2015 state finalists for the Presidential Awards for Excellence in Mathematics and Science Teaching were named during a special ceremony Monday, June 22, 2015, at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center in Hutchinson.
TOPEKA – Kansas schools completed state assessment testing on May 15 and now the state’s assessment partner Center for Educational Testing and Evaluation (CETE) along with Kansas educators and Kansas State Department of Education (KSDE) staff will begin the process of setting achievement levels for this new assessment.
Incoming Kansas Education Commissioner Dr. Randy Watson and Interim Commissioner of Education Brad Neuenswander are continuing community conversations titled Kansas Children. Kansas’ Future. with a focus on reaching the business community.
During the school year, many families in Kansas rely on meals provided by schools to help nourish children, so when school is not in session, too many children go hungry.
