TOPEKA – Thirty-six Kansas elementary schools, 10 middle/junior high schools and 11 high schools were recently recognized as part of the annual Governor’s Achievement Awards, honoring top-performing schools in the state.


The Kansas State Department of Education wants to thank you for your continued patience and understanding as we worked through the disruptions to testing.


A construction incident earlier this week that damaged a fiber cable at the University of Kansas continues to impact the performance of the KITE assessment delivery system.


During a March 8 meeting, Kansas State Board of Education members acted to submit an addition of suicide awareness and prevention training into a regulation that will be sent to the Department of Administration and the Office of the Attorney General for review.
