Bug Report for the 2014-15 USD Budget

6/26/2014      Budgets downloaded after 4:35pm on this date do NOT have this error.

Codes.xlsx Co34 worksheet
A formula error was discovered on cells C187, D187 and E187.  Credit goes to Allison Covault (Shawnee Mission) for discovering this formula error.  Please follow the steps below to update the formula:

 1.       Unprotect Code 34 worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “unprotect sheet”

 2.       Enter Password:  6741

 3.       Update Formula in Excel cell C187 to =SUM(C143:C186,C77:C132,C43:C64)

 4.       Update Formula in Excel cell D187 to =SUM(D143:D186,D77:D132,D43:D64)

 5.       Update Formula in Excel cell E187 to =SUM(E143:E186,E77:E132,E43:E64)

 6.       Protect Sheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “protect sheet”

 7.       Enter Password:  6741 and reconfirm password

 8.       Save

Codes.xlsx 2nd Publication worksheet
A formula error was discovered on cells B13, B14, B15, B16, B17, B18, B19, B20, and B21.  Credit goes to Leanne Trabuc (USD 479 Crest) for discovering these formula errors.  Please follow the steps below to update the formula:

 1.       Unprotect 2nd Publication worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “unprotect sheet”

 2.       Enter Password:  2015

 3.       Update Formula in Excel cell B13 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D22/1000)

 4.       Update Formula in Excel cell B14 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D23/1000)

 5.       Update Formula in Excel cell B15 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D24/1000)

 6.       Update Formula in Excel cell B16 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D25/1000)

 7.       Update Formula in Excel cell B17 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D26/1000)

 8.       Update Formula in Excel cell B18 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D38/1000)

 9.       Update Formula in Excel cell B19 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D40/1000)

 10.       Update Formula in Excel cell B20 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D39/1000)

 11.       Update Formula in Excel cell B21 to =OPEN!A12*(OPEN!D30/1000)

 12.       Protect Sheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “protect sheet”

 13.       Enter Password:  2015 and reconfirm password

Forms.xlsx Form 110 worksheet
Due to the 20 mills (General Fund) no longer being disbursed from the County to the District, the Form 110 General Fund column was locked for entry. As a result of this, it was discovered the Code 99 (cell E70 and E79) is not including General Fund taxes levied for 2013-14. Credit goes to Elton Argo (USD 483 Kismet-Plains) for discovering this error.

To ensure Code 99 Notice of Hearing is correct prior to publication, you must follow the steps below:

 1.       Unprotect Form 110 worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “unprotect sheet”

 2.       Enter Password:  2520

 3.       Enter the General Fund Taxes Levied for each county in the following cells as needed: Cell E198, Cell E372, Cell E550, Cell E722, Cell E894. This information should have been provided by your County Clerk.

 4.       Do not enter any other tax information in the General Fund column. Some numbers will auto populate after you enter the taxes levied, that is fine.

 5.       Confirm Code 99 (cells E70 and E79) includes General Fund Taxes Levied for 2013-14

 6.       Protect Form 110 worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “protect sheet”

 7.       Enter Password:  2520 and reconfirm password

 8.       Save

Codes.xlsx 2nd Publication worksheet
A formula error was discovered in cell I23. The message on this cell may incorrectly indicate the need to publish in the newspaper, which can be ignored as long as the percent increase (Cell F23) is not over 1.5%. Credit goes to Lynette Bartley (USD 107 Rock Hills) for discovering this error.

This is not a critical error to require the update below, however, if your percent increase over the prior year is over 1.5% you will need to publish in the newspaper:

 1.       Unprotect 2nd Publication worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “unprotect sheet”

 2.       Enter Password:  2015

 3.       Update Formula in Excel cell I23 to =IF(M23>0.015, "Need to publish in newspaper","Do NOT need to publish")

 5.       Protect Sheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “protect sheet”

 6.       Enter Password:  2015 and reconfirm password

 7.       Save

Sumexpen.xlsx Sumexpen worksheet
A formula error was discovered in cells H11 and H17. Credit goes to Lisa Peters (USD 305 Salina) for discovering this formula error. Please follow the steps below to update the formula: 

 1.       Unprotect Sumexpen worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “unprotect sheet”

 2.       Enter Password:  1536

 3.       Update Formula in Excel cell H11 to =H706+H786+H863

 4.       Update Formula in Excel cell H17 to =H1272+H1107

 5.       Protect Sheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click “protect sheet”

 6.       Enter Password:  1536 and reconfirm password

 7.       Save

  

7/18/2014       All USDs should update the formulas in these cells.

Sumexpen.xlsx Sumexpen worksheet
A formula error was discovered in cells C999, E999 and H999.  Credit goes to Pam Leinwetter (USD 501 Topeka) for discovering this formula error. Please follow the steps below to update the formula:

1.     Unprotect Sumexpen worksheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click "unprotect sheet"

2.     Enter Password:  1536

3.     Update Formula in Excel cell C999 to  =SUM([Codes.xlsx]C030!$C$184:$C$195, [Codes.xlsx]C030!$C205:$C$245)

4.     Update Formula in Excel cell E999 to  =SUM([Codes.xlsx]C030!$D$184:$D$195, [Codes.xlsx]C030!$D205:$D$245)

5.     Update Formula in Excel cell H999 to  =SUM([Codes.xlsx]C030!$E$184:$E$195, [Codes.xlsx]C030!$E205:$E$245)

6.     Protect Sheet:  Go to Review tab on Excel and click "protect sheet"

7.     Enter Password:  1536 and reconfirm password

8.     Save

Sumexpen.xlsx "Keep2" worksheet
A labeling error on the hidden worksheet "Keep2" located on the Sumexpen.xlsx file, is affecting the Budget At A Glance. Credit goes to David Colburn (USD 383 Manhattan Board Member) and Kenneth Harshberger (USD 226 Meade) for discovering this error. Please follow the steps below to update the necessary labels:

1.     Unprotect Sumexpen WORKBOOK (not worksheet):  Go to Review tab on Excel and click "protect workbook"

2.     Enter Password:  2015

3.     Unhide the hidden "Keep2" worksheet by right-clicking on one of the worksheet tabs and selecting "Unhide"

4.     Click on Keep2 then OK

5.     Update Formula in Excel cell A17 to  =SUMEXPEN!A1416

6.     Update Formula in Excel cell A18 to  =SUMEXPEN!A1417

7.     Update Formula in Excel cell A26 to  =SUMEXPEN!A1754

8.     Update Formula in Excel cell A28 to  =SUMEXPEN!A1756

9.     To hide the Keep2 worksheet again, right-click on the Keep2 tab and click Hide

10.     To protect workbook, click on Review tab and click on "Protect Workbook"

11.     Enter Password:  2015 and reconfirm password

12.     Save
